july’s song

the moon
undressed
on a cloudless
night
leaving
the frightened
in frolicked
enchantment
dancing on
tippy tippy
exposing
painted toes
eyes behind shades
for the
beams glow
unbearably bright
moon dust
sprinkling
upon the water’s waves
as to say
jump in
swim
in my midnight’s madness

let the surf’s spray
tickle the skin
a collection
of droplets
drip
the sand reclaims
in a salt bath
and you
me
or we
laugh endlessly
