as a bird in flight
light on her bared feet
her dance
her expression

no music
the crowd quiets
no sound

leaps
dips
spins
and twirls

mesmerizing
the unexpected spectators

in a trance
unleashing her soul
into a beautiful performance
of unrehearsed steps
