Where has the time gone too?
that turkey we devoured in November
still seems to be
sticking to the ribs
in the month of December
wrapped in bows
that glitter in gold
while red & green ribbons
adorn the tree
stores call our names
with new sales each day
yet
the smart shop wisely
with ease
Santa’s internet
to please
the young & not so young too
this season
is made for bakers
out come the treasured recipes
cookies & cakes
to grace the tables of friends & family
it’s the count down now
only days to go
everyone wishing
for a bit of snow
the little ones now tempted
by packages that abound
but still wait
for the sound
of reindeer & Santa’s HOHO

pour a cup of hot tea
with a splash of rum
time to sit back
relax
take stock in what counts
the loved ones here
the loved ones there
don’t forget
to remember
tell them
how much you care
never to many
