a poet's playground

harvest – mission

this field lay not barren
hay bales in wait
to be gathered

gray is not the feel
of this day
or any other

that is
your
choosing

time has come

it lingers
in the crevasses and cavities
of the cerebellum

almost forgotten
till the sky spit
it’s warm droplets
