would you stay
till the end
be
my lover
be
my friend
understand
my needs
my pain
understand
when it rains
the tear that drops
from my heart
may be happiness
may be not
is this bequest
so very hard
to crave
a moment more
think not a thought
speak not a sound
react
the action taken
respond

will you be
my lover
my friend
burn the skies with desire
set passion afire
clear
the air
of any misgivings
letting our souls dance & sing
it’s in the words you say to me
it’s in the action that sets you free
mine a gift of the heart
mine to give each day we start
is this too hard for thee
to take what’s given so free…..ly
