and the wolf

from his hollow
he crawled
spying his delight
a silent stride in his stealth steps

desire flared
his insides burned
as he drew near

unaware
she stripped her attire
baring her skin
to the elements

contemplating
will a plunge in
the still pond
free me from fear
save me from
from what i run
are there no arms
that would shield me
from harm
is there no one
who i can depend upon
would this still pond
comfort my angst
bring me redemption
at last

he with focus
crept closer
his penetrating eyes
not masked
or disguised
targeting her

slyly and almost
motionlessly he moved
as black as a moonless night
blocking the sun
he wrapped himself
around the
desired one
