while we pick flowers

stayed undisclosed on the shelf

life’s happenings

tucked in

the safety of a drawer

stored

for another day’s view

rather words

short

sharp

& curt

expressing

quack quack quack

all it takes

admitting

a mistake

no excuses do

due to

an unfortunate exchange

loss with pain

reality remains

uncertainty gains
