oh dear
my ears
someone is on a talking spree
i can’t breathe
they’ve sucked in all the air
and are releasing it mercilessly
thoughts on this
reflections on that
the dog had a heart attack
while cousin sue
was shacking up with an oyster shucker
tom’s cat had fleas
which stirred up her allergies
sneezing all night
no one could sleep
now in some sort of zombie state of mind
what time do you have
too early for wine
perhaps if a sip is taken
i can slip in a word or two
oh no

not nearly finished
with the verbal flow
perhaps i really don’t want to know
a remedy for lorraine’s condition
it’s not an illness or an ailment
a unique syndrome
only affecting those
with protruding nostril hairs
forgot to mention
2 Thursdays ago
back went out
in a yoga pose
couldn’t stand straight for a week
tried mindful meditation
to ease the pain
found a joint
works just the same
just signed up
for a class in photography
would you like to join me
it’s old school
so a camera is needed
no phones pods or pads

leave the Kodachrome at home
meets Sundays at 6 am
so as not to interfere
with the remaining day

my neighbor
had a flat
she was driving her daughter to school
hadn’t dressed for the day
only a robe over

she should have had more clothes on
but the officer helped her anyway

my son is in 1st grade
